Tessa was a beutiful German Shepherd that I had from the RSPCA , I only went there for a look as I had just lost my other dog Cassie to old age...I was determined not to have another dog ,it hurts too much when you lose them..But I spotted Tessa...they had called her Daisy then ,she had been rescued from being tied to a barbed wire fence,she must have tried to get away and the barb had tore her shoulder and hip.. She was in a terrible state,thin and even her spine was showing through...I cried seeing her like that and asked if I could have her..after 3 weeks I could and she came home ,she would cower in the corner like as if she had been beaten...considerating she was starved she ate so daintily,scared I think..I dont think she had ever been for a walk...
I had Tessa for 7 years,I think she might have been 10, but not sure...She went blind in her last year..she never did fully recover from her nervousness...This angers me ...how people are so cruel.
I had a few years of her becoming a beautiful dog, she walked beside me perfectly,never looked for fights..a beautiful dog..
I said again I wouldnt have another dog,but when Tessa went I had another...she's lying at my feet here now...Millie a unwanted German Shepherd again....a white one .

What we will see when we die

It takes us through forests of sweet smelling pine.
Through Gardens of Beautifull flowers that ease the mind
Past a beautifull sunset over the sea
Through a beautifull stars and moon scene
Until we get to the gate we hear an Angel call

We walk on
Then our Loved ones we do hear
Saying Come on ! come on! its getting near
Then the doors open
The journey has made you You again!

Is spirits healing ray,
And also the doorway to heaven,

I'll never see a rainbow

We humans are prone to chase rainbows,
always wanting that pot of gold.
But the wisest of us remember the joy,
of just a small creature to hold.
Allow yourself to accept their great gift,
and know what devotion is worth.
If you've been loved by a dog or cat,
you're the richest person on earth.
But their lives are lived in miniature-
bright sun to palest moon.
They bless our days with innocence,
and faithfulness that's stilled too soon.
These precious lives are fragile,
as fleeting as a baby's smile.

The agony is so great...
and yet I will stand it.

To my dearest family,
some things I'd like to say.
But first of all, to let you know,
that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from the Bridge.
Here I dwell with God above.
Here there's no more tears of sadness.
Here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy
just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I am with you
every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you
when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me
and He said, "I welcome you.
It's good to have you back again,
you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family,
They'll be here later on."
God gave me a list of things,
that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list,
was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night
the day's chores put to flight,
God and I are closest to you...
in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth,
and all those loving years,
because you are only human,
they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry:
it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers,
unless there were some rain.
I wish that I could tell you
all that God has planned.
If I were to tell you,
you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain,
